Michael Pratt & Associates commenced business in November 1978 as Finance Brokers and Consultants. Since inception the company has continued to develop and expand its range of services to provide innovative financial solutions to their extensive client base. This included leasing and hire purchase products for the luxury motor vehicle industry, equipment financing and with the deregulation of the banking sector in the early 1980's business services were extended to include mortgage and banking services.

In response to economic conditions in the early 1990's the company's focus was extended to incorporate a more diverse range of financial services for the business and corporate sector. These services included financing for plant and equipment, residential, residential investment and commercial real estate, corporate restructuring and health care related financing.

In January 1998, Michael Pratt & Associates underwent a corporate entity change to Pratt & Co. Financial Services Pty Ltd. The new entity reflected the expansion of the organisation as a financial services company offering not only 20 years' experience in leasing and asset purchase of motor vehicles and equipment, but also a wider array of financial instruments to include both residential and commercial mortgages, banking facilities and corporate restructuring.

More importantly when Pratt & Co. Financial Services Pty Ltd diversified its range of business financial services the fundamentals of our business changed. With the advent of a broader range of financial instruments catering to the requirements of our client portfolio it was necessary to continue to build these ongoing relationships. In the majority of cases Pratt & Co. not only managed our clients' liabilities, we were also re-structuring and packaging our clients into a more independent banking environment, i.e. utilising business assets (stock and debtors) to finance and re-capitalise their businesses. This also involved the re-financing of Directors' private assets independent of their business securities.

A subsidiary company Australian HealthCare Finance Pty Ltd was incorporated in 1998 to satisfy a growing demand for health care related financing. This company was formed to provide dedicated solutions and financial services specifically designed to meet the needs of the health care and medical sectors.

With the ever-changing economic environment and taxation systems Pratt & Co. Financial Services will continue to seek innovative financial packaging in response to our clients needs, whilst maintaining the highest standard of personalised service.
